Zeta Tau Alpha’s philanthropy, Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, is a cause that touches the lives of so many. As a sorority, we channel our efforts to support and spread awareness in all the ways that we can. We have annual events such as our BBO for Breast Cancer, Crawfish for a Cure, and Power of Pink gymnastics meet, as well as more continuous events such as our Think Pink Lemonade Stand and Book Drives. Through all the events, we work to fundraise and spread awareness for our cause. Nationally, we are paired with Bright Pink, the American Cancer Society and the NFL. One in every eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their life, and as Zetas, we are honored to to be apart of the fight for a cure and support those who have been faced with this terrible disease. This philanthropy holds a very close place in my heart because of the women and families it has affected and continues to affect. Sharing a mutual passion with hundreds of other women is so inspiring. As a chapter, we strive not only to make a change within our philanthropy but in our community as well.
